Position Title: Program Manager III (PM III)

Location: Upper Saddle River, NJ (100% Onsite - 9/80 Schedule)

Type: Direct Hire

Salary: $100,000 - $150,000 + 4% Annual Incentive Plan (AIP)

Clearance Requirement: Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a government security clearance

We are seeking a results-driven Program Manager III to lead the execution of complex development and production programs for mission-critical systems. Position Summary

As a Program Manager III, you will be responsible for leading the full lifecycle of technical programs-from concept through development, production, and in-service support. You'll coordinate efforts across engineering, operations, finance, contracts, and business development while managing customer expectations and delivering results on scope, schedule, and budget. The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and tactical program execution skills, especially within Aerospace, Defense, or SATCOM markets.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver development and production programs aligned with customer requirements and internal objectives.



  • Drive all phases of program execution (scope, schedule, cost, risk, quality).



  • Manage multiple programs or a family of programs; provide weekly/monthly KPI reports and leadership briefings.



  • Respond to RFPs and lead proposal development including schedules, estimates, and compliance documentation.



  • Serve as the main point of contact for customers; ensure satisfaction through proactive communication and issue resolution.



  • Collaborate with contracts and subcontracts teams to manage Statements of Work, supplier engagements, and compliance.



  • Maintain program documentation, schedules (MS Project), and reports using SharePoint, Confluence, or similar tools.



  • Identify risks and implement mitigation plans; manage scope changes and process improvement initiatives.



  • Ensure adherence to government contracting standards (FAR, DFAR, ITAR, etc.).



  • Support or lead internal audits and participate in program gate reviews.




Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.



  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing technical product development programs in Aerospace, Defense, or SATCOM.



  • Strong customer-facing experience with proven ability to build trust and manage expectations.



  • Must have electronic development and/or production program management experience (not service-based).



  • Demonstrated success in tactical program execution and full product lifecycle delivery.



  • U.S. citizenship required for security clearance eligibility.




Preferred Qualifications


  • Advanced degree in Engineering, Program Management, or Business.



  • Active or previous Secret Clearance.



  • PMP certification.



  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) and government contracting practices.



  • Experience working in matrix organizations across multiple sites.



  • Proficiency in MS Project, SharePoint, and Confluence.



  • Experience with commercial and military programs.



  • Contract/Subcontract management experience and knowledge of ITAR regulations.



The base pay range above represents the low and high end of the base compensation range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual base compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on a range of factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, actual experience, and job performance.
