Brief summary of purpose:

Responsible for requirements gathering, designing, developing, testing, delivering and maintaining system integration, data integration, API calls and web application/service solutions based on business requirements, making use of existing technical capabilities and services in the organization. Align new solutions to the current architectural principles regarding standards and integration in the organization. Work collaboratively within and across development and project teams in a fast-paced work environment.



Responsibilities

Primary Job Responsibilities (include duties that represent 5% or more of employee's time)

    Works independently to design, develop and deliver applications (i.e interface, ETL, extract, web site, service, console app, BI app) to a high a degree of quality
  • Participates in activities of development lifecycle including estimation, coding, unit testing, deployment and maintenance
  • Design and develop applications in accordance with established practice, standards and specifications
  • Ensures architectural goals are met on all development projects
  • Defines and develops automated tests including the set-up and tear down of static test data
  • Analyzes specifications and then designs, develops, and tests high quality solutions in support of defined business objectives
  • Ensures accuracy and integrity of data and applications through analysis, coding, profiling and problem resolution
  • Troubleshoots application programs and provides timely response; performance-tunes these applications as necessary
  • Provides technical knowledge and subject matter expertise as required
  • Adheres to detailed deployment plans, schedules, timelines and milestones


Qualifications

Job Requirements

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust C# applications using .NET Framework and .NET Core
  • Build and enhance web applications and console applications using ASP.NET and ASPX Web Forms
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts
  • Experience working with web development technologies such as ASP.NET and MVC
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs for internal and external consumption. Integrate third-party REST APIs into existing systems
  • Experience working with SSIS
  • Knowledge of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, or JavaScript
  • Database design and SQL proficiency
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git
  • Ability to craft effective prompts for AI tools to generate high-quality code, documentation, and test cases and experience using AI-powered coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to accelerate development workflows.
  • Problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities
  • Adaptability to learn and implement new technologies
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent
  • 5+ Years experience

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of containerization (e.g., Docker, AKS) and virtualization technologies.
  • Front-End Frameworks: Experience with modern front-end technologies like React, Angular, or Blazor for full-stack development.
  • Security Best Practices: Understanding of secure coding practices, authentication/authorization (e.g., OAuth2, OpenID Connect), and data protection.
  • Health Insurance or Payer industry experience
