  • Level 1: Estimated Hourly base pay: $18.73(min) - $23.41(mid) - $28.09(max) Plus shift differential and overtime

Woodward in Loves Park, IL is hiring for a 2nd shift (Monday - Thursday, 3:24pm - 1:54am) Operations Technician to support our OD/ID grinders at our Loves Park Campus. This individual will be responsible for manufacturing aerospace parts and components. If you are an experienced machine operator or are looking to advance your manufacturing skills, apply now!

What You Will Be Doing

  • Performing ID and OD grinding operations on intermediate products/stainless materials to manufacture aerospace products
  • Operating Studer and Voumard CNC grinders, Talysurf surface checker (surface finish) Talyround (form checker)
  • Performing inspection checks using various measurement tools and equipment including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators
  • Reading work instructions, interpreting blueprints and GD&T to ensure that customer and company specifications are met
  • Navigating through company database to locate work instructions, blueprints, document production rate, quality checks and NCR's

What We Are Looking For

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous grinding and/or CNC machining experience is strongly desired

Level 1: Previous manufacturing experience preferred

Level 2: 1 or more years of experience in a manufacturing or similar production type role is strongly preferred
