https://healthprofessions.uams.edu/imaging-and-radiation-sciences/programs/radiography/ Summary of Job Duties:The College of Health Professions at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) seeks applicants for a full-time faculty position in the Division of Radiologic Imaging Sciences located at the UAMS campus in Little Rock, Arkansas. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative, resourceful individual to contribute to an established, high-quality program that enjoys strong institutional and community support. The faculty position is a 12-month non-tenure track position at the rank of instructor or assistant professor. Salary and academic rank are commensurate with qualifications.

Required

  • Current ARRT(R) certification
  • Bachelor's degree in a health-related or education discipline (Candidates possessing a bachelor's degree will be expected to attain a master's degree in education or health-related discipline)
  • Minimum of 3 years' recent post-certification clinical experience
  • Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to identify and solve problems

Preferred

  • Five or more years' of recent post-certification clinical experience
  • Master's degree in an education or health-related discipline
  • Experience with PACS
  • Recent teaching experience in radiologic imaging sciences
  • Experience with classroom and Web-based instruction
  • Experience as a JRCERT recognized Clinical Instructor

  • Design and deliver instruction in area(s) of expertise
  • Contribute to program and curriculum assessment and planning activities
  • Supervise students in clinical practicum requirements
  • Academic advising of students
  • Engage in admissions and recruiting opportunities
  • Engage in scholarly and service activities consistent with university, college, and expectations for core faculty
  • Other duties as assigned
