Technician

What you will enjoy doing*

• In this role, you will collaborate with project engineers, scientists,
  and fellow technicians to develop cutting-edge manufacturing methods, processes,
  and equipment that integrate industrial gases and cryogens into the food
  industry
• Depending on the size of the project and assigned scope, play a major role or take ownership in designing, fabricating, assembling, then troubleshooting, operating, and maintaining bench, pilot, and full-scale commercial equipment with a focus on stainless steel industrial prototypes, primarily in the Food & Beverage industry
• You leverage your trade skills, company provided hand and power tools and your creativity in building and modifying equipment, applying non-standard techniques and methods to solve complex challenges, often working from initial sketches, engineering drawings, or verbal instructions
• Utilize hands-on skills especially T.I.G. welding, machining, machine shop tools, and test instruments to bring innovative systems to life
• Partner with other team members to conduct laboratory, pilot plant, and field trials, contributing ideas and solutions in an R&D laboratory environment, as well as during equipment start-ups in food manufacturing environments

What makes you great

• High school diploma or equivalent, with proven hands-on experience is required; Technical or trade school education or an Associate's degree in engineering or technical field is preferred
• Proficiency in T.I.G. welding and general equipment fabricator of stainless steel equipment
• Familiarity with systems involving gases, cryogenics, and fluids, including components like valves, pumps, vessels, heaters, coolers, motors, compressors, etc
• Hands-on experience in machining, industrial electrical panel design, and/or troubleshooting, and
  knowledge of cryogenic equipment applications and food manufacturing processes is preferred
• You have basic understanding of technical safety applications (e.g. working with electricity, extreme high/low temperatures and temperatures)
• Competency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer skills
• This is a regular 1st shift position, but you should be
  prepared for occasional paid overtime or weekend work to meet project deadlines
  and schedules
• Additionally, up to 25%
  travel may be required, including overnight, weekend, or multiple-night
  stays for customer site deployments and equipment start-ups
