This role is dedicated to delivering exceptional Guest Services as part of our Sales & Catering TEAM, ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel's sales function. As a Sales Manager, your primary responsibility is to manage accounts, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction while actively soliciting both past and new business. The goal is to achieve or exceed all revenue targets, including room nights, average rates, and room rentals.
Essential Job Functions:
* Deliver best-in-class service to our guests with engagement and thoughtfulness
* Drive group sales by proactively seeking new business opportunities and responding promptly to inquiries
* Lead and manage the efficient sale of guest room nights and room rentals within the Sales & Catering Division
* Conduct site inspections with potential and existing clients, showcasing our exceptional offering
* Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure seamless account servicing
* Build and nurture strong relationships with the local Chamber of Commerce, civic groups, and businesses
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the hotel.
- Ensure that all agreements are completed in compliance with standard operating procedures.
- Participate in the development of sales plans, sales research, forecasting, and other department activities.
- Responsible for entertaining and maintaining relationships with existing accounts to meet and/or exceed revenue goals.
- Engaging in special assignments and initiatives as directed by senior management.
- Executing special projects in accordance with organizational priorities.

Qualifications:
Education:
* High school diploma or its equivalent
Experience:
* Two years Hospitality Sales and/or Convention Service experience preferred
* Previous Sales experience required
* Confident utilizing MS outlook, Word, and Excel
* Previous experience with hotel PMS systems (such as OnQue or PEP) a plus.
