ARES is seeking a Project Manager II to provide support to the Workplace & Collaboration Services (WCS) group at Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) in support of the NASA Enterprise Multimedia and Integrated Technical Services (eMITS) contract. eMITS is the Agency's enterprise-level contract creating and delivering multimedia and technical communications through the use of the internet, digital platforms, and IT management for NASA's Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and Office of Communications (OCOMM). From photographing rocket launches and recoveries, to producing engaging videos, to information technology management, to using social media to share NASA's message, eMITS integrates services for NASA IT and provides NASA's communication to the outside world. JOB DESCRIPTION / FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for running complex programs and projects - from design and development through production and deployment.
- Creates strategies for contingency planning and risk mitigation.
- Plans and schedules project goals, milestones, and deliverables.
- Creates and maintains Integrated Master Schedules.
- Defines requirements and plans the project lifecycle deployment.
- Defines resources and schedule for project and program implementation.
- Identifies and solves project issues effectively.
- Oversees and directs the project engineering team and manages conflicts within the different groups.
- Exhibits leadership qualities.
- Defines requirements for project risks.
- Possesses organizational, presentation, and customer service skills.
- Designs and maintains project and technical documentation.
- Assembles project teams, assigns individual responsibilities, develops project schedules, and is responsible for determining and acquiring resources needed.
- Must be familiar with the entire scope and requirements of project(s) and serves as liaison between team members and functional area management.
- Manages communications with different teams but not limited to development, and integration.
EDUCATION AND PREVIOUS WORK REQUIREMENTS:
- BA/BS degree and 5 years' experience in project management.
EXPERIENCE/COMPETIENCIES/SKILLS:
- Able to participate in technical working groups and track initiative progress.
- Conduct in-depth data analysis, identifying areas for process and service delivery improvements.
- Maintain awareness of multiple projects throughout all phases and prepare executive project summaries.
- Assist customers and POCs in identifying and accurately documenting conference room requirements.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneNote, One Drive), SharePoint, and Box.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFCATIONS:
- 3+ years of A/V industry experience.
- Proficient in Power BI and Microsoft Planner.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
