GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Administrator of Support Services, completes a variety of duties including, but not limited to providing supervision of a 24/7 patient transportation department, supervises the operational and personnel activities of the Patient Transportation department.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Supervisors and coordinates activities, work schedules breaks of Transporters

* Maintain and monitor Teletracking EPIC.

* Maintain and support goals of the department.

* Promote positive teamwork.

* Promote customer service standards to ensure high service levels are achieved.

* Provide input for department procedures.

* Identify problems and quickly resolve customer issues to ensure customer satisfaction.

* Maintain communication with all levels of the organization.

* Anticipate and plan staffing needs. Cover sick and vacation requests within budget.

* Must have proven ability to successfully supervise multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines. 11.Helps monitor the Express Patient Transportation budget.

* Set performance goals, coach and motivate staff.

* Recognize and reward staff for job well done.

* Administrator disciplinary action according to the HFHS policy, when appropriate.

* Report Patient Transportation issue to management and monitor compliance.

* Assist other Support Services processed by providing critical, seamless communication between all groups and the patient caregiver.

* Lead safety committee and perform safety audit.

* Understand equipment management program and patient charges.

* Conduct training.

* Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Higher education preferred. One (1) year of progressively more responsible experience in patient transportation and operation of equipment and materials utilized in patient transportation required.
  • Must have the ability to independently organize and prioritize responsibilities; problem solve.
  • Ability to adapt in a constantly changing environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written and communication and customer service skills.
  • Problem Solver with win-win solutions. Ability to multi-task in a very fast paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to handle and respond quickly to emergency situations.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Windows, and the Internet.
  • EPIC experience preferred.
