What You'll Do

ECS is hiring a Geotechnical Principal / Branch Manager to lead and expand our Southwest operations in Denver, CO. This is a highly visible leadership opportunity, ideal for a licensed engineer with at least 12+ years of experience in geotechnical reporting, analysis, and design. You will serve as both a technical expert and operational leader, driving excellence across geotechnical services and helping us grow our Colorado footprint.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide senior technical expertise across projects and guide regional geotechnical staff
  • Contribute heavily to business development and client relationship growth
  • Attend and lead project meetings with clients and ECS staff to deliver technical solutions
  • Mentor Associate Principals and participate on the review committee for their designation
  • Oversee project delivery, perform technical report reviews, and manage proposal preparation
  • Lead departmental operations, including budget and P&L managements
  • Support hiring managers with strategic staffing decisions
  • Coach junior team members and collaborate across Construction Materials Testing (CMT) teams as needed

What We're Looking For

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering
  • Minimum of 12 years of related geotechnical experience
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required in the state of Colorado
  • Experience as a designated senior reviewer at a prior firm
  • Valid driver's license required if driving for or on behalf of ECS

The expected pay range for this role and location is $105,000-$175,000/year plus bonuses, benefits, and other incentives. The final agreed-upon compensation will be determined based on specific location and other individual qualifications.
