About the Unit
Our Labor and Delivery Unit within Butterworth Hospital, it is a fast paced procedural unit, similar to a surgical environment. We have 28 Beds, 11 Triage (5 Prep & Recovery Bays, 3 ORs) and we average 8,000 births per year. It is the flagship hospital for Corewell Health Grand Rapids Hospitals. Scope of workAs a Nursing Technician with Corewell Health, providing top-notch patient care is paramount. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Provider, you'll be performing basic nursing skills, observing patients, and communicating those observations to the other members of the team. You'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients and their families. In this unit Nurse Techs help turn over the OR rooms with the RNs, help with stocking, help with mom recoveries, help clean up babies, and get baby vitals, help position patients, transport, patients, and they help cover the Unit Secretary desk during lunches or sick days.
