Location: West Valley Hospital, 525 SE Washington Street, Dallas, Oregon 97338Department: Emergency DepartmentPosition Type: Unscheduled / Per Diem, Non-ExemptSchedule: Variable Your role with usAs a Clinical Tech in the Emergency Department, you'll be a vital member of the care team, supporting the fast-paced and unpredictable environment of emergency medicine. Under the direction of registered nurses and providers, you'll assist in delivering compassionate, timely, and efficient care to patients experiencing a wide range of urgent and critical needs. Your role requires adaptability, strong communication, and a calm presence under pressure. Whether monitoring vital signs, assisting with procedures, or supporting patients and families, your efforts will directly contribute to patient safety, comfort, and outcomes during their most vulnerable moments.What you'll doPerform basic patient care duties such as vital signs, cardiac monitoring, electrocardiogram (EKGs), phlebotomy, bladder scans, splinting, wound care, and point-of-care testing.Assist with emergency procedures and care tasks delegated by RNs and providers.Document patient data accurately using written, verbal, and electronic methods according to policy.Support the flow of care by transporting patients safely and efficiently throughout the department.Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized care environment for patients, visitors, and staff.Collaborate with the RN to implement care plans, monitor patient conditions, and report changes.Reinforce patient education regarding activities of daily living and support family involvement in care.Participate in unit activities such as staff meetings and shared decision-making processes.Fulfill required standby hours as scheduled to meet the needs of the Emergency Department.Required qualificationsHigh School Diploma or Equivalent.Basic Life Support (BLS).Requires ONE of the following to be considered for hire:CNA licenseCMA licenseEMT B certificationEnrolled in an accredited nursing schoolPrevious experience as an ED Tech or in a comparable role (i.e. CMA, UAP).Total rewards packageSalem Health's comprehensive benefits package prioritizes your mental and physical health, financial stability, family obligations and professional growth.
