Manager of Regulatory Capital Reporting

We're seeking an individual to lead the Risk Weighted Assets function within Regulatory Reporting, as the Regulatory Capital and RWA Manager. This is a highly visible role engaging with senior leadership and Line of Business leaders supporting execution and understanding of business impacts related to Risk Weighted Assets.

The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen, proven ability to distill salient points from complex and evolving RWA data, and a talent for delivering analytical transparency while balancing regulatory deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the application, calculation, and reporting of Basel III capital requirements with a focus on transparency in Risk Weighted Assets (RWA) calculations.
  • Manage end-to-end RWA processes and regulatory capital ratios, including data analysis, earnings estimation, and preparation of external regulatory submissions (FR Y-9C, Y-15, etc.)
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance and Line of Business (LOB) leaders to analyze variance drivers and deliver actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.
  • Evaluate and enhance internal controls over RWA processes to ensure compliance and operational integrity.
  • Prepare quarterly presentation summarizing RWA insights to support senior leadership, internal committees, and supervisory understanding of RWA trends.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline and automate RWA reporting processes for improved efficiency. Own business requirements
  • Monitor data quality issues and escalate to appropriate stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely RWA reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA or equivalent professional certification.
  • Over 5 years of experience in Finance within a large financial institution.
  • Proven expertise in Basel III and capital adequacy frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $110,000 to $140,000 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
