Location Site: Salem Hospital, 890 Oak Street SE, Salem, Oregon 97301Department: Cardiac Service LinePosition Type: Part Time, 20 hours/week, Exempt Start Time: Monday - Friday, days and times varyYour role with usAs a Clinical Data Abstractor at Salem Health, you will be responsible for abstracting and accurately entering clinical data from medical records into registry databases, ensuring compliance with specific program guidelines. You will analyze and present data to leadership and clinical teams to support quality improvement efforts, while collaborating with providers to ensure data accuracy and timeliness. Additionally, you'll maintain expertise in relevant software, participate in program updates, and support staff education on data use as needed. What you'll doAbstracts clinical data from medical records in compliance with registry program data dictionaries and inclusion/exclusion criteria.Enters and manages data in required databases to support accurate reporting and quality improvement efforts.Builds, retrieves, and analyzes reports for use by leadership and physician stakeholders.Maintains high data accuracy and meets volume expectations to comply with internal and external reporting deadlines.Collaborates with providers and service line members, and provides training on data use when needed.Stays current on relevant software tools and program updates, participating in teleconferences and continuing education as necessary.Required qualificationsBachelor's degree in Nursing or Non nursing degree with Master's in Nursing or Associates Degree of and licensure as an Radiologic Technologist (Registered) required.Three years of acute hospital experience required.
