To help us continue our growth, we are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to join our highly skilled team. This position will manage Nascent Technology which falls under the Incubation Services arm of the Standex Electronics Division. This is a small site targeted for significant investment and growth in the near term. As an ideal candidate, you have proven management experience in a highly dynamic setting. Your organizational, communication, and leadership skills are second to none and you enjoy developing solutions that push innovative boundaries.

What You'll Do




  • Collaborate with the Incubation Services team in the development of performance goals and long-term operational plans
  • Collaborate with and support the co-located R&D team on new product/process experimentation and launches
  • Maximize efficiency and productivity through extensive process analysis and interdepartmental collaboration
  • Set strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivity
  • Analyze current operational processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement when necessary
  • Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes that provide visibility into goals, progress, and obstacles for our key initiatives
  • Build and maintain relationships with all department heads, external partners, and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals
  • Develop and maintain a strong safety culture by implementing standard work methods, policies and practices designed to achieve our goal of zero accidents.
  • Ensure Quality and Service to be in line with expected standards.
  • Verify all aspects of Inventory Control are being managed to expectations.
  • Manage operational expenses to achieve goals and profitability expectations.
  • Ensure headcount is managed to include recruiting, retention and development.
  • Plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for the day-to-day performance of the operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks
  • Devise strategies to ensure growth of programs enterprise-wide, identifying and implementing process improvements that will maximize output and minimize costs
  • Uphold organization policies and standards, ensuring legislative regulations are followed
  • Work closely with human resources to lead team with integrity and establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment



What You'll Bring



  • Bachelor's degree in business, operations or related technical field
  • 5+ years of leadership role in the appropriate field; operational experience with increasing responsibility including management of direct reports
  • Lean/Continuous experience and background highly preferred
  • Proven ability to plan and manage operational process for maximum efficiency and productivity
  • Ability to streamline and implement new structures and roles that create speed, efficiency, and support rapidly shifting business demands
  • Understanding of Change Management and basic Human Resources skills and practices
  • Experience with budget and business plan development
  • Proven ability to develop innovative solutions for increased productivity
  • Masterful organizational, communication, and leadership skills, demonstrated by previous professional success
  • Strong working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics using business management software (e.g., SAP, ERP, CRM)
