Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
Role/Purpose:
The PO Order Management Leader will manage the establishment and execution of the End-to-End PIUS-PO order management process, and will lead a team of Order Managers. This role is also responsible to develop, communicate, and execute MO-to-PO communication processes and tools within PIUS. This position is part of the PIUS SCM organization, reporting directly to the Head of Supply Chain.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Interface with Product Management, Engineering, Applications Team, Marketing Organizations, Operations, Purchasing, and Sales & Operations Planning to ensure customer sales orders stay on-time to requested or first confirmed delivery dates
  • Lead a team of PO Order Managers and provide guidance and direction to order management team to ensure MO orders are tracking efficiently
  • Establish and implement KPI's that track department productivity, quality and performance when managing new customer orders, change orders and cancellations in SAP
    • Master Scheduling
    • Engineering (EPO/MIRP)
    • Fabrication, Production and WM Staging (FGPO)
    • Outbound (Delivery/Shipments)
  • Provide guidance and direction order management team to resolve issues that may arise on a day-to-day basis
  • Escalation point for orders requiring management visibility and guidance
  • Works closely with and makes recommendations to Sales & Operations Department in preparing short term and long term demand plans
  • Develop reporting mechanisms for order visibility and decision-making
  • Develop and implement new processes that enhance customer service and drive productivity
  • Ability to work on-site in Mettler-Toledo office facility
  • Execute assigned projects as defined
What You Need to Succeed
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Exposure within a technical engineering environment, especially Engineered-to-order
  • High energy and determination to resolve customer order issues
  • Ability to work within a team environment using consensus building to achieve a desired result, has excellent verbal and written communication and teambuilding skills
  • Ability to create and analyze processes including development & monitoring of performance metrics associated with those processes
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to details
  • Proficient in data analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to provide informative and professional assistance when working with internal customers and co-workers, including maintaining positive interpersonal relationships which encourage openness
  • Demonstration of strong verbal and written communication skills to produce accurate, professional and error-free information
  • Advanced Excel skills required to include, but not be limited to, advanced formulas, charting, macros, and pivot tables
  • Cross-cultural sensitivity and ability to be a leader in dealing with multinational corporations.
  • ERP Experience within a planning & production environment; SAP knowledge a plus

This position is considered safety sensitive and is

Minimum Education / Experience Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred; High-school diploma required
  • Five years of experience in Order Management or Customer service working with internal stakeholders
Travel Requirements:
This position has a travel requirement of up to 10%. Travel could include both domestic and international travel (by commercial or personal means, including economy class air travel).
