Job Summary Salary Range: $20.00 to $23.00 Per Hour

Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, skills, abilities and working shift.

The primary function of the Receiving Inspector is to ensure that purchased or otherwise received material conforms to specific requirements prior to release into manufacturing and/or warehouse inventory. Inspects and verifies purchased material intended to be used in devices or distributed as an accessory to devices at Fresenius Kabi Warrendale. Accurately completes all required inspection reports and other documentation as required and maintains the paper files of such reports. Performs all necessary inventory transactions in SAP and Apriso and physically moves parts to the proper warehouse locations based on disposition. Responsibilities
  • Performs inspection of incoming material per assigned Quality Inspection Procedures (QIP) and completes FRM-024, Inspection Report to document the inspection process and results.
  • Ensures that the supplier has included all required documentation and examines it for completeness.
  • Determines pass or fail and treats material accordingly by applying the correct labeling and moving it to the correct location in the warehouse.
  • Processes material that does not pass inspection as non-conforming material and identifies and labels it as such.
  • Monitors open Temporary Change notices and notes them on inspection reports.
  • Communicates with the Purchasing group to obtain the required documentation when it is missing or incomplete.
  • Assists the Product Sustaining team with sorting of possible non-conforming parts to determine disposition.
  • Responsible for filing, storing and maintaining all inspection reports per the quality management system.
  • Participates in and assists with external and internal audits as required
  • Follows ESD controls when sensitive material needs removed from protective packaging for inspection purposes.
  • As required can assist Receiving with unloading trucks and handling incoming material.
  • May use hand and/or powered industrial equipment to move material between locations

Requirements

  • Display excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Possess solid mathematical and reading skills.
  • Demonstrate effective problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Exhibit use of sound judgment, good organizational skills and time-management skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Be able to show a high level of attention to detail.
  • Exhibit proficiency using powered industrial equipment and must be certified on powered industrial trucks.
  • Observe all safety guidelines; inform Supervisor of any safety hazards; attend all required safety training classes.
  • Learn all applicable Standard Operating Procedures and compliancy with all regulations regarding the handling, storage, and receiving of materials.
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping in the work area and facility to meet and exceed cGMP requirements.
