The Strategic Technology Analysis Group, part of SPA's Space and Intelligence Division, offers sophisticated capabilities (people, process & tools) to resolve unique problems in space, cyber, and special operations in support to military services, Secretary of Defense offices (OSD), and theater warfighters. Our portfolio includes the Assistant Secretary of Air Force for Space Acquisition & Integration (SAF/SQ), Joint Warfare Analysis Center (JWAC), Space Security and Defense Program (SSDP), National Space Defense Center (NSDC), Space Warfighting Analysis Center (SWAC), Strategic Capabilities Office (SCO), US Space Command (USSPACECOM) and US Space Force (USSF). Responsibilities

SPA has an immediate need for a highly qualified Chief Systems Engineer who will be at the forefront of technology exploitation and development, shaping groundbreaking advancements in remote sensing capabilities. Will play a pivotal role in managing and innovating the infrastructure that directly supports the Strategic Missile Warning Ground Acquisition Delta's Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) mission.

    Oversee and guide all systems engineering efforts supporting the OPIR TAP Lab and Boulder Ground Innovation Facility (BGIF).
  • Define, prioritize, and execute technical requirements, translating them into actionable and innovative solutions.
  • Conduct comprehensive systems engineering trade studies to evaluate and recommend strategic technology investments.
  • Coordinate and maintain an Integration Roadmap for tenants of BGIF, optimizing activities, investments, and technological upgrades to achieve maximum efficiency and manage lifecycle costs effectively.
  • Lead efforts in exploring emerging technology trends, recommending strategic courses of action to ensure technological leadership and operational excellence.


Qualifications

Required Experience:

  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Science, Technology Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant relevant industry experience, with at least 5 years dedicated to software development, testing, and integration within DoD or national security environments
  • Proven leadership in technical project management, systems engineering, and stakeholder collaboration
  • Reports to designated work location in Boulder, CO, up to full time, based on the needs of the customer
