We specialize in integrating advanced digital solutions to optimize manufacturing processes and enhance efficiency. As we expand our digital manufacturing capabilities, we are seeking a highly skilled MES Functional Architect to join our team.

Job Summary

MES Functional Analyst/Architects are responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to streamline production processes and improve data-driven decision-making. This role requires deep expertise in MES platforms, industrial automation, and system integration within a smart manufacturing environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement MES solutions to support manufacturing operations, digital transformation initiatives and seamless data exchange across enterprise systems.
  • Manage a common code base for MES systems within the same franchise of globally spread systems to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Drive collaboration with vendors, IT teams and the Business stakeholders to ensure efficient project execution with system alignment and business needs.
  • Assess business requirements and translate them into MES functional specifications.
  • Develop and optimize MES workflows, ensuring alignment with industry standards such as ISA-95.
  • Lead MES deployment projects, including system configuration, testing, and validation.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve MES-related issues to maintain system stability and performance.
  • Follow and participate in incident management, major incident management, problem management, change management, and configuration management processes.
  • Manage, create, update and execute GxP documentation such as test scripts as required to ensure all relevant Compliance policies and regulations are met
  • Expected to be on call as needed to support manufacturing sites.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Min Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT Technology or similar education
  • Proven, Hands-on experience as an MES Functional Architect or in a similar role.
  • 3+ years' hands on experience in Siemens Opcenter
  • Experience with GxP, ITIL - ideally ServiceNow and Jira
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, collaboration, analytical and presentation skills
  • Great problem solver and ability to work on your own as well as with a team
  • Proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a complex matrix organization
  • Strong knowledge of Siemens Opcenter, manufacturing processes, industrial automation, and IIoT technologies.
  • Proficiency in SQL databases, scripting, and data integration tools.
  • Familiarity with enterprise applications such as ERP, SCADA, and PLM systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation: - $90,000 to $150,000 +/- and this position are also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans. Application will be accepted by 07/4/2025
