WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
  • Lead, develop and empower sourcing team members. Create a culture that champions continuous learning and individual growth.
  • Responsible for the development of category strategies for our critical Metals category; bring bold ideas and passion for building strategic partnerships.
  • Support high visibility, innovative projects and acquisitions.
  • Manage strong supplier relationships to build a mature and resilient supply base to support high-growth businesses. Negotiate agreements and contracts.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with relevant partners, including product development, sales, planning, manufacturing, delivery, and after-sales support.
  • Drives continuous improvement to deliver against productivity, resiliency and process improvement goals.
YOU HAVE:
  • BS / BA degree in business or Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in a relatively large purchasing operation and experience with leading people required.
  • Passion for growing and developing people - people first is how we operate.
  • Experience directly managing complex categories - experience in the Metals industry a must.
  • Strong negotiation skills including experience negotiating multi-million dollar contracts in commodity based markets.
  • Excellent communication skills - must be comfortable on a manufacturing floor and presenting to executive leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and work comfortably in ambiguity.
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 25%.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.

Pay Transparency

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range:

$146,300.00 - $271,700.00

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
