Job Description

This is a Hybrid position. The candidate must be able toaccess and conduct in person meetings at the FDIC VA SQ, Arlington, VA.

Position Summary:

The IOSB and CTSS PMO Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting project-related data to improve visibility into project performance, risks, and resource utilization. This role supports project managers, senior leadership, and stakeholders by providing actionable insights and ensuring data integrity across project systems.

The Data Analyst plays a key role in supporting the overarching mission of the PMO, ensuring robust data-driven decision-making. Provides competent leadership and highly specialized and technical guidance to complex challenges. Demonstrates analytical thinking through the use of tools; e.g; SQL, and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

The Data Analyst will support a strategic team that requires simultaneous planning, management, and guidance to technical teams on PMO standards. Encouraged to demonstrate structured analysis, design methodologies, design tools, entity relationship modeling, and experience with data architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Collection & Management:

  • Gather data from various project management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Power BI, Excel) for monthly analysis of Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators
  • Maintain and validate data accuracy across systems and processes.

Reporting & Dashboards:

  • Design and maintain dashboards and reports (e.g., ServiceNow, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Generate regular reports on SLAs and KPIs, including schedule and contract adherence, variance, trends, and allocation.

Performance Analytics:

  • Analyze program performance trends and metrics, as well as support the regular leadership presentation of data.
  • Provide predictive insights using historical data for forecasting.

Portfolio Analysis:

  • Support portfolio-level reporting and prioritization by analyzing data across various work efforts to ensure accurate and factual reporting to leadership.
  • Identify and report dependencies, resource constraints, trends, and risks through data analysis.

Process Improvement:

  • Recommend improvements to PMO processes based on data findings.
  • Support the development of ServiceNow automation of reporting and data workflows.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Present insights to project managers, PMO leads, and executives.
  • Translate complex data into clear, business-relevant narratives that focus on impact and organizational outcomes.
Qualifications

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years' experience in Data Analysis discipline(s) and technologies.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Excel, SQL, and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experience with project management tools (ServiceNow)
  • Effectively communicate with management and functional areas by presenting problem resolution through analytical thinking, product information and status reports in a professional manner.
  • Advanced knowledge of networking concepts, object-oriented technology, data warehousing, and relational database engines.
  • Strong proficiency in analytical, project planning, negotiating, interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Master's Degree preferred.

Clearance Requirement:

  • Must Be a US Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain an FDIC Public Trust clearance

Working Conditions:

  • Standard East Coast Time Zone office hours

  • Ability to access and conduct in-person meetings at the FDIC Virginia Square campus
