WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview):

as an Assistant I, Administrative you will receive visitors, answer general questions, and direct individuals to appropriate person within the organization. Receive telephone calls and transcribe messages or direct calls to appropriate party. Assist with the placement of outgoing calls. Perform other routine clerical duties. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.

Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State and local regulations.

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD (Key Responsibilities):
1: Receive telephone calls and refer them to the appropriate individual or department.
2: Take and transcribe messages to ensure prompt transmission to the appropriate party.
3: Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate individual.
4: Provide general information about the organization to outside callers (e.g., applicants, and vendors).
5: May ensure that a visitor's log is maintained and issue visitor's badges.
Scope: Continue learning aspects of the job. Work on task-oriented assignments. Contact primarily within immediate work unit.

The salary range for this position is starting a $18.85 an hour.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):
Education: High School or equivalent required.
Experience: Up to 1 year related of experience.
Management Experience: N/A
Skills & Abilities: Good verbal and written communication skills. Basic knowledge of personal computer use, Microsoft Office Suite, use of office equipment. Standard typing skills required. Ability to work on a team.
Travel: May travel within the region. Mist have a valid driver's license.

* Combination of candidate's education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description's minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).

Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The work environment will consist of moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones and printers, light traffic). The employee must have the ability to work in a small cubicle and have the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
