Job Summary

The AWS DevOps Engineer will play a crucial role in enhancing our infrastructure development processes focusing on Jenkins Jenkins X AWS DevOps and CircleCI. With expertise in Cards & Payments the candidate will contribute to optimizing our systems for efficiency and reliability. This hybrid role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience offering a dynamic work environment during day shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of infrastructure solutions using Jenkins and Jenkins X to streamline CI/CD pipelines.
  • Oversee the integration of AWS DevOps practices to enhance scalability and performance of cloud-based applications.
  • Provide expertise in CircleCI to automate testing and deployment processes ensuring high-quality software delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure strategies with business objectives in the Cards & Payments domain.
  • Optimize system performance by identifying and resolving bottlenecks in the development lifecycle.
  • Implement security best practices to safeguard sensitive data within the Cards & Payments infrastructure.
  • Monitor and maintain infrastructure health ensuring uptime and reliability for critical applications.
  • Develop documentation and training materials to support team members in adopting new infrastructure tools and practices.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions that enhance infrastructure capabilities.
  • Facilitate communication between development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of new features.
  • Analyze system metrics to provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Support disaster recovery planning and execution to minimize downtime and data loss.
  • Drive initiatives that contribute to the company's purpose and positively impact society by improving payment systems.

Qualifications

  • Possess a strong background in Jenkins Jenkins X AWS DevOps and CircleCI with proven experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Demonstrate expertise in the Cards & Payments domain understanding industry standards and practices.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in infrastructure development with a focus on cloud-based solutions.
  • Show proficiency in automating processes and enhancing system performance through innovative solutions.
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid work model.
  • Display excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain a proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies and industry trends.

AWS Domain Skills- AWS-IAM AMI RDS EC2 ECS SG VPC EBS EFS and S3 AWS(CloudFormation Lambda)

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until June 28th 2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $49,001 - $107,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
