Job Summary

As a Facilities Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and optimization of building systems and equipment to ensure a safe, efficient, and comfortable work environment. Your role is essential in supporting the day-to-day operations by keeping facility infrastructure running smoothly and minimizing downtime. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, a proactive approach to problem solving, and experience with various facility systems.

Job Responsibilities

* Perform regular maintenance and inspections on facility equipment and systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical components.
* Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to building systems such as HVAC units, lighting, power distribution, and control systems.
* Repair or replace faulty components including motors, sensors, switches, valves, and wiring.
* Maintain accurate records and logs of all maintenance activities and repairs.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to coordinate repairs and minimize facility downtime.
* Assist with installations, upgrades, and modifications of facility systems and equipment.
* Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies during maintenance and repair work.
* Stay informed about industry trends and best practices related to facility management and maintenance.

Job Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in mechanical, electrical, or facility management preferred.
* 3+ years of experience in facility maintenance or a related technical field.
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, and work orders.
* Fluent in English (written and verbal) sufficient to understand safety procedures, work instructions, and company policies.
* Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
* Familiarity with HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, pneumatic systems, and control systems such as PLCs is preferred.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
* Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
* Willingness to work flexible hours or on-call shifts as needed.
* Reliable attendance is essential to support ongoing facility operations.

Compensation Range

The compensation range for this position is between $26.00 -$32.00 per hour.
