Make your mark at the world's largest HVAC company Daikin Applied is seeking an HVAC Service Technician Helper in Washington DC for Summer 2025! The HVAC Service Technician Helper will partner with senior technicians in the diagnosis, repair, and preventative maintenance of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment. The responsibilities can increase based on exposure to tasks, ability to develop troubleshooting skill set, and consistent and accurate completion of assignments. Exposure to HVAC equipment includes, but is not limited to, the following: large and small rooftop units, split systems, chillers, and boilers. - Observe the maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines, cleaning coils, brushing tubes, replacing filters, replacing belts and proper lubrication
- Partner with senior technicians on the repair and replacement of defective equipment, components, or wiring related to fan coils, water source heat pumps, applied air handling units, rooftop units, cooling towers, and air- and water-cooled chillers
- Learn about rebuilds of commercial HVAC & applied equipment
- Receive detailed direction from Operations Managers and Supervisors, as well as Technicians II, III, and IV
- Demonstrate professionalism in appearance, verbal, and written communication
- Interact with customer by offering status reports of service before, during, and after each call. Explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audience
- Basic data entry and ability to navigate a computer or smart phone for use of email, internet, Microsoft applications and other tools as required
- Wear company uniform and required safety PPE, perform job hazard analysis
- Ensure standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area are always upheld
- Follow all OSHA and Daikin Applied safety policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications:
- In pursuit of High School Diploma or GED
- Required license(s) and/or training card as required by local law district
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current first aid / CPR card
Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position. The typical hourly pay rate for this position pays $21.00 per hour in Maryland. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls.
