As our Quality Engineering Technician, you will support and actively participate in the maintenance of Quality Assurance functions that support manufacturing and research and development (change request/control) activities as well as any other Quality Assurance activities assigned by management.

This role is multi-faceted and will provide the opportunity to interact with a variety disciplines within the organization. To thrive in this role, you must be highly adaptable and flexible to meet the needs of the Quality organization and business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Defines and implements initiatives to enhance system efficiencies, productivity, and quality that are consistent with company changes and growth.

  • Supports and implements such changes without adversely impacting quality or regulatory compliance.

  • Reviews and approves Equipment Evaluations ensuring that procedural criteria are met.

  • Investigates problems and implements corrective actions per planned timelines.

  • Reviews and approves change requests for closure ensuring all procedural requirements are met prior to closure.

  • Ensures finished devices meet their acceptance criteria and were manufactured in accordance with the Device Master Record.

  • Processes document change orders through the review and approval process.

  • Reports on departmental performance for Management Review and other review mechanisms.

  • Participates in cross-functional teams assembled to investigate and resolve product quality issues.

  • Provides support in external and internal audits (e.g., FDA, Notified Body, etc.) and efforts to respond to any identified nonconformities.

  • Leads nonconforming product report investigations, containment, actions, and effectiveness checks. Reviews and approves those owned by other LivaNova team members to ensure that procedural criteria are met.

  • Conducts laboratory testing of devices in support of new development, product changes, or investigations and summarizes all test information in test reports.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma

  • 1+ years of experience in Quality

  • 'Highly adaptable and flexible to meet the needs of the Quality organization and business, as a whole.

  • Proficient in MS Office including Word, Power Point, and Excel.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to prioritize and plan activities.

  • Resolves most issues with peers, but understands what issues are important to escalate to management.

  • Proficient at conducting testing within a laboratory environment and document results in reports.

Pay Transparency

  • A reasonable estimate of the hourly rate for this position is $27 - $30 per hour + discretionary annual bonus. Pay ranges may vary by location.
