Responsibilities

The Insight & Interactions Hub (IIH) Solutions is on the lookout for driven and skilled Lead Software Engineers to join our Insights Nexus Graph team. IIH provides an exciting environment where you can contribute to delivering exceptional solutions by leveraging customer interaction data across multiple channels. In this role, you will tackle critical business challenges by optimizing existing solutions and paving the way for future innovations with advanced technologies.

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will collaborate with data engineers to develop and enhance solutions for data ingestion, ETL, and consumption. The Insights Nexus Graph team employs the Neo4J Graph database to create data models that depict the relationships between customers and their digital experiences.

To excel in this position, you should possess a strong foundation in software engineering, with a preference for data-related expertise and infrastructure enablement. Proficiency with AWS is crucial, and familiarity with AWS services such as Glue, Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, Redshift, and S3 will be beneficial.



Qualifications

We Are Seeking Candidates With:

  • Expertise in Python (preferred) or Java programming, with hands-on experience in data processing, analysis, and manipulation.
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure enablement, specifically AWS services (e.g., IAM, Glue, Redshift, S3, AWS API Gateway) to design and implement robust and scalable infrastructure solutions that ensure optimal performance and reliability in data processing and analytics.
  • Practical experience with CI/CD and DevOps methodologies.
  • Proven ability to manage high-priority projects across multiple product teams, demonstrating adaptability and responsiveness to organizational needs.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders throughout the organization.
  • Ability to provide technical leadership and guidance to teams, fostering innovation and ensuring successful project outcomes.
  • Experience with Graph databases to support enterprise-wide decision-making and derive meaningful insights from complex datasets is preferred.

Our Benefits

Because work-life-balance is a priority at State Farm, compensation is based on our standard 38:45-hour work week!

  • Potential starting salary range:
    • $104,000- $150,000 based on skills, background, experience, and geographic location. ***High end of the range limited to applicants with significant relevant experience***
    • Potential yearly incentive pay up to 15% of base salary
