Position: Production AssociateLocation: Hartselle, AL Wage: $24.33/hour Shift: 4a-2:30P While reporting to the Production Team Leader as the Production Associate I you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks in support of production operations. What You'll Be Doing: This is a temporary position with opportunity to hire full time for the right candidate. This role will be recycling used steel reels, taking off the cable from the reel by machine. Inspection and grinding may also be required in certain jobs. Ability to lift 30-50 pounds is required. Product produced can be viewed at https://www.sonoco.com/products/industrial-products/reels-spools/steel-reels Has ability to work in accordance with safety and quality standards Ability to work collaboratively with all functions within the plant (safety, quality, maintenance & management) Responsible for general housekeeping (5S) of work area and department Mig Welding with .045 wire and perform fillet and butt joints. Ability to read drawings and Route Sheets to determine the proper job requirements. Flexible as individuals are trained on multiple jobs and weld positions.
