The mission of the NC State University Department of Athletics is to prepare student-athletes to compete at the highest level and to inspire them to be leaders now and for the future by providing the best environment to achieve their athletic, academic, and personal aspirations as well as providing support for the professional development of our coaches and staff, all within the role of the greater institutional relationships to the University. This position will work with the Men's Golf Team which competes at the Division 1 level within the Atlantic Coast Conference. |
Essential Job Duties |
Under the supervision and direction of the Head Coach, the Assistant Coach for Men's Golf is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a Division I men's college golf program in the highly competitive
ACC.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide administrative assistance and support to the Head Men's Golf Coach.
- Assist with coaching, scouting and recruiting student-athletes, participating in the maximum-allowable evaluation and contact opportunities.
- Monitor student-athlete academic schedules and performance, along with training, practice, and conditioning schedules.
- Assist with video and filming.
- Manage home tournament operations.
- Participate in public relations activities and special events.
- Assist with budget preparations and operate within approved budget allocations.
- Schedule and facilitate practices, competitions and team travel.
- Participate in NC State clinics, exhibitions and camps as needed.
- Assist with donor and past player relationships.
- Promote an environment that is conducive to player improvement and development at the highest level.
- Engage in ongoing professional development.
- Manage non-traditional work hours and significant team and recruiting travel.
- Adhere to all ACC, NCAA, NC State Athletics Department and NC State University rules.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |

Other Required Qualifications |
- Minimum of 2 years of collegiate coaching.
- Must possess excellent computer and technical skills.
- Must be able to work effectively and communicate with all team members and support staff within NC State Athletics and NC State University.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Coaching experience in a division I men's golf program.
- Collegiate recruiting experience.
- Knowledge and experience in men's golf tournament administration or related field.

- Must be able to pass NCAA Recruiting exam annually.
