The Client Relationship Officer is responsible for proactive business development in an assigned market, reporting directly to the Client Relationship Sales Development Manager. This position is responsible for loan, deposit and revenue growth through the development of new customer relationships or the enhancement of existing relationships. Target market is businesses, business owners, corporate executives, not-for-profit organizations, professionals and retirees. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Develops and executes an individual business plan to achieve new relationship acquisition, business partner referrals and existing relationship expansion. Provides guidance on complex financial solutions and transactions to both business and individual clients. Introduces appropriate partners to market the bank's investment services, financial planning services, commercial product offerings and retail products and services. Majority (80%) of time is spent sourcing new relationships outside of the branch to meet or exceed assigned sales goals. Responsible for reporting sales activity and outbound efforts to the Client Relations Sales Development Manager. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree preferred, but commensurate sales and proven business development experience is acceptable. A solid knowledge of banking and bank lending fundamentals are required. 5+ years experience in an environment focused on business development. Ability to communicate benefits of strategies and products resulting in new business. Must be detail oriented and have excellent organizational, planning, and project management skills. Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to make critical decisions independently. Must be able to work independently, as well as part of a team. Strong professional presence. Travel is required whenever and wherever a client need exists. |
