The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Coordinator serves as a team lead, subject matter expert and trainer for the budget department. This position will coordinate the budget staff in conjunction with the Director of Budget. The FP&A Coordinator will ensure data integrity, provide high level reporting, train and educate new and existing staff and conduct improvement initiatives. The FP&A Coordinator will also perform a wide range of high-level analysis and projects to help leaders make strong business decisions for our organization.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, Hospital Administration, or related field. EXPERIENCE: 1. Five (5) years' experience in data analysis, financial statement preparation, financial systems administration and/or health care planning background. 2. Two (2) Years of Healthcare Industry Experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. Master's in business or Healthcare Administration EXPERIENCE: 1. Understanding of how healthcare financial operations work 2. Strong understanding of Microsoft office applications with an emphasis on Excel CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position. Coordinates and provides training for new employees within the department 2. Oversee reporting coming from FP&A division to ensure it is consistent and reliable. Review new reporting needs with Director and determine implementation times. 3. Serves as a super-user and resource for the department on systems that interact with the planning tool such as; EPIC, Tableau, Workday etc. 4. Creates and serves as a safeguard to ensure data and financial integrity for the annual planning period. 5. Aid in developing annual board approval packets. 6. Communicate and educate to business partners how healthcare financial operations works from patient inquiry to discharge. 7. Understands and able to provide guidance regarding physician productivity reporting and analysis. 8. Coordinates assigned special projects to ensure it meets guidelines and validate integrity of the project. 9. Provide input in planning procedures, policies, and training. 10. Provide in depth review of key areas to work on improvements as assigned. 11. Monitor departmental key dates and ensure tasks are being met. Following up with Director as needed. 12. Understand and able to problem solve in relation to integrations of Workday to the Workday Planning tool. 13. Coordinate the annual budgeting and forecasting process 14. Coordinate FTE Committee process 15.
