Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Project Manager (Marketing and Communications) for the Department of Clinical and Health Affairs within Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences.
Under the supervision of the Office of Clinical and Health Affairs, the Marketing and Communications Project Manager (Marketing PM) will be responsible for leading the strategy of both internal and external communications to promote the activities and achievements of the Office of Clinical and Health Affairs and Rutgers Health.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

  • Leads the planning and execution of communications in support of high-visibility Office of Clinical and Health Affairs initiatives, including but not limited to Graduate Medical Education, Population Health, AI/Data Innovation and Promotion of Well-Being. Works with teams and leadership from across the Office of Clinical and Health Affairs to fully understand the office's key initiatives and own the full-cycle of the preparation, execution, and measurement of individualized communication strategies as needed.
  • Works collaboratively with communications professionals across Rutgers Health to message effectively and coordinate strategies, and when appropriate with colleagues at RWJBarnabas Health and University Hospital.
  • Writes and edits articles for online, digital and print publications, annual reports and assists with social media efforts, including being responsible for providing digital content (videos, photos, graphics, text) for social media and digital channels.
  • Designs, creates and produces various digital and physical graphics and narrative materials to support and promote the activities of the Office of Clinical and Health Affairs including annual reports, newsletters, advertisements, posters, banners, brochures, flyers for distribution, and PowerPoint presentations for various audiences consistent with brand standards.
  • Assists with conceptual development, marketing and graphics via print and electronically, as it relates to overall image providing venues, impressions and costs, keeping within budget and timelines.
  • Leads event planning and promotion for certain office events and activities, such as Rutgers Day activities. Coordinates video/photographic documentation of events and activities for use across various touch points (website and digital signage).

The final salary offer will be determined by several factors, including the candidate's qualifications, experience, and expertise, and availability of department or grant funds to support the position. Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience

  • Minimum of bachelor's degree, in communications, marketing, advertising, public relations, or a relevant field. Plus, five (5) years of relevant professional-level experience in communication/marketing.
  • Additional related experience may be substituted for the degree on a year-for-year basis.

Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Expert knowledge of PowerPoint and other presentation software.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management and Communications/marketing professional experience in a university or healthcare environment highly preferred.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in technical environment with web content and graphic/media design responsibilities is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Constant Contact, Canva, Content Management Systems such as Drupal, and Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Acrobat) is strongly preferred
