Schedule: Must be willing to attend M-F daily meetings at 7:30 am Central Standard Time

You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Develop a full understanding of and manage key analytics and reporting including issue resolution
  • Lead projects to develop new project models or enhancements to existing models
  • Assist in the management of DataMart architecture that can support tremendous growth and changing Key Performance Indicators
  • Serve as key healthcare economics and analytics contact for local, regional, and national OptumCare leadership and key national finance and operations stakeholders
  • Multitask, prioritize, adapt to change, work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and manage a project from start to finish
  • Identify and implement appropriate analytic approaches and methodologies
  • Leverage and coordinate enterprise-wide capabilities to meet business-specific needs

Required Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 4+ years of analytical experience and expertise in data visualization, data analysis, data manipulation, data extraction and reporting
  • 4+ years of experience defining and documenting business transformation logic and required business rules based on requirements
  • 4+ years of experience creating SQL queries with the ability to analyze customer data


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Graduate degree in Economics, Statistics, Finance, Health Administration, Mathematics or related field
  • 5+ years of data analytics experience
  • CMS Medicare Data File experience, including MMR, MAO004, MOR and TRR data.
  • Proficiency with SQL, SAS, and/or other statistical programs
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, adapt to change, work well in an fast pace environment, meet deadlines, and manage a project from start to finish

The salary range for this role is $89,800 to $176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
