$1,250 per 1 credit with upward adjustment for years of service at Marist University. Pay may vary depending on credits pertaining to online, graduate, music, or lab courses.



Job Summary:



The Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry, & Physics at Marist University invites applications for part-time faculty to teach General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and/or Physics I Laboratory in Fall 2025. Opportunities are available for both lecture and laboratory courses, with all instruction conducted in person.
We are especially seeking instructors with availability to teach lab sections during the following times:



  • Chemistry Labs:

    • Mondays, 8:00-11:00 a.m.
    • Tuesdays, 8:00-11:00 a.m.
    • Fridays, 2:00-4:45 p.m.


  • Physics I Lab:

    • Thursdays, 2:00-4:45 p.m.


  • An additional Tuesday afternoon lab (2:00-4:45 p.m.) may be offered depending on enrollment.
  • Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and additional teaching opportunities may become available in future semesters.


Lab courses count as 3 credits each.



Minimum Qualifications:



Master's degree in Chemistry or closely related field required.



Essential Functions:



Teach content in the field of chemistry and to assess students by grading exams and homework as assigned.
