The Teams

IB Engineering Classic is a global team responsible for engineering the next generation digital solutions and automation for banking that consists of a set of well-integrated platforms and allows us to serve our investment bankers and clients better.

In this role you will be working in close partnership with product managers as well as across the engineering organization with the application teams building specific functional components.

DESCRIPTION

Our team of product Managers are responsible for solving problems for our investment bankers using software. They guide every step of the product's lifecycle from problem or insight definition through research, refinement, approvals, roadmap development, team structuring, design, software development, product marketing, pricing, release and continuous iteration through to eventual demise. Product Managers advocate for users and make sure the voice of the customer is represented, to build the best possible product. They work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds, breaking down complex problems into steps that drive product development. Product Managers determine the right thing to build and partner with engineers to figure out the right way to build it.

We are looking for an experienced product manager familiar with product development and management who has a proven track record in leading the delivery of impactful platforms from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be excited by solving problems, working with end users to specify requirements and elicit feedback, and leading build and execution. We are looking for a talented and passionate Product Manager who thrives in a fast paced environment.

AS A PRODUCT MANAGER YOU WILL:



  • Support and develop product strategy and roadmap with business stakeholders
  • Partner closely with business stakeholders to create product vision, gather requirements, and inform the product roadmap
  • Assist in the execution of the product roadmap by writing user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria for technology development
  • Partner with colleagues in engineering, design, operations and program management to allow for seamless execution
  • Engage with partner vendors to ensure they address product needs
  • Leverage analytics and data to inform the product roadmap
  • Parse larger product feature projects into smaller components while understanding dependencies and communicating risks
  • Participate in ideation activities, product feasibility assessments, business case preparation, and overall product definition (feature lists and prioritization)
  • Establish or participate in Agile ceremonies which establish rhythm for the team, promote ongoing communication, and iterative refinement of capabilities.
  • Regularly and systematically use data to uncover opportunities, track product performance, and drive decision making
  • Develop and nurture collaborative working relationships with key internal partners including business teams, various product teams, and enterprise technology organizations
  • Serve as subject matter expert, contributing practitioner, thought leader, career guide and mentor to teams



WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR



  • 3+ years of work experience in the Financial Services sector, with product management experience in an agile product development environment
  • Great presentation, storytelling, workshop and communication skills and a desire to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Demonstrate a high degree of personal accountability, commitment to excellence, and going above and beyond to ensure that products are delivered on time with a high degree of quality
  • Highly organized with a proven ability to execute on multiple priorities in parallel
  • Aptitude for logically breaking down complex problems and processes, documenting workflows and edge cases, and communicating solutions with clarity
  • Self-motivated, comfortable following direction, and able to balance quality work while meeting short deadlines
  • Ability to lead and facilitate while executing for a growing team
  • Experience building relationships and influencing business stakeholders
  • Proven track record of defining and promoting change and innovation
  • Proven experience building and shipping great products, preferably programmatic channels in the financial service domain
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities in highly ambiguous contexts, and then organize thematic work areas in deep detail, thus aligning long term vision with iterative execution
  • Collaborative, team player attitude with the ability to navigate and influence the organization
