Job Duties: Associate, Investing & Portfolio Management - Public with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, New York. Support the Private Equity Investment team in Investment Due Diligence of (i) Third Party Private Equity Managers, (ii) Private Equity Secondary Portfolios, (iii) Co-Investments, i.e. direct investments in companies alongside Third Party Private Equity Managers, and (iv) Minority Stakes in Private Equity Firms or General Partners (GPs). Perform in-depth research and financial analysis on privately held companies, funds, and investment themes across stages (Venture, Growth, Buyout), sectors and geographies. Develop and build complex financial models, including discounted cash flow (DCF), leveraged buyout (LBOs), and secondary valuation models. Lead diligence efforts including calls and meetings. Prepare detailed investment committee memoranda outlining the considerations of a particular investment and the terms to propose. Coordinate the execution and structuring of investments. Participate in structuring, negotiating, and documenting investments. Monitor the performance and risk profile of existing portfolio investments. Build relationships and coordinate information requests needed for analysis.

Job Requirements: Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a related role OR Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include one (1) year of experience (with a Master's degree) OR three (3) years of experience (with a Bachelor's degree) with: managing due diligence process; preparing investment committee memoranda; valuation methods including Discounted Cash Flow (DCF); accounting principles such as U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS); performing financial research and analysis; and advanced Microsoft Excel including working with macros, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and IF/AND formulas.

Salary Range: Annual base salary for this New York, New York -based position is $200,000/Year - $225,000/Year.
