The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, one of four campuses in the University of Colorado System, is the major academic medical center in the Rocky Mountain region. The Anschutz Medical Campus is home to the University of Colorado Hospital, Children's Hospital Colorado and a new Veterans Affairs Hospital, making it one of the largest and most comprehensive biomedical research and clinical care centers in the western United States. The University of Colorado School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry has just welcomed their new Department Chair, C. Neill Epperson, MD and is in the process of growing the Department of Psychiatry with new programs and expanding existing programs. Nature of Work The position requires innovation, flexibility and the ability to work across healthcare systems. The psychiatrist will be based in the University of Colorado Hospital Emergency Medicine Department with perform Psychiatric moonlighting services. Please note, this is an open rank position and could be categorized as Clinical Instructor, Clinical Senior Instructor, Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below. Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in attending rotation in ED service with flexible hours
- Build relationships with other departments and campuses
- Participate in the attending call rotation
- Actively contributes in Academic Advancement of his/her discipline
- Keeps abreast of the latest developments in field, both academically and through applied skills
Supervision Received This position reports to the Director of Emergency Services and Department of Psychiatry Supervision Exercised This position will not supervise other employees

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Instructor, Senior Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below: Clinical Instructor: 1-3 years of clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience. Minimum degree qualifications: NP/APN, DO, MD, CO Physician License or Eligible for CO Physician License. Board Certified, Eligible, or Eligible by the time of hire in Psychiatry. Clinical Senior Instructor: 1-3 years of clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience.Minimum degree qualifications: NP/APN, DO, MD, CO Physician License or Eligible for CO Physician License. Board Certified, Eligible, or Eligible by the time of hire in Psychiatry. Clinical Assistant Professor:1-3 years of clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience. Minimum degree qualifications: NP/APN, DO, MD, CO Physician License or Eligible for CO Physician License. Board Certified, Eligible, or Eligible by the time of hire in Psychiatry. Clinical Associate Professor: 4-7 years of clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience. Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as
- Clinical Instructor:$120/hour
- Clinical Senior Instructor:$120/hour
- Clinical Assistant Professor:$120/hour
- Clinical Associate Professor:$120/hour
- Clinical Professor:$120/hour
This is non-negotiable as it is a department standard rate and is a non-benefits eligible position. The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
