Job Description:
Contributes to and sustains an active, healthy and engaged Fraternity & Sorority Life (FSL) community via training, development, programming and coaching. Serves as a member of the Student Engagement & Development team and shares responsibility for the achievement of departmental goals and assessment initiatives. Interprets policies and operating procedures in all functions and has the authority to deviate from some department practices/procedures without prior approval.
JOB DUTIES
Responsible for developing, leading and maintaining risk management, leadership development and DEI-focused workshops and training for FSL members (FSL membership makes up nearly 30% of campus). This includes building partnerships with local and national organizations, as well as cross-departmentally at Trinity. Uses independent judgment in developing content, format, etc. for workshops, strategic initiatives, budget management, policy implementation, and program development. Plans and provides on-site support for service events, Greek Unity programs and other community-wide programming. Works in tandem with students to build bridges between FSL organizations and non-FSL student organizations (this includes, but is not limited to working directly with cultural/identity-based organizations, service organizations, etc.). FunctionsastheprimaryadvisorandinstitutionalrepresentativetoallFSLorganizations,managing leadershiptransitions,internalgovernanceissues,andcrisisresponsewithminimalsupervision. Adviseschapterleadershiponcompliance,strategicplanning,andconflictresolution. Uses independent judgment to mentor and coach organizations. Supports Greek Council, a University Sponsored Organization, by advising and counseling students/student leaders, event planning, leadership retreats and other logistics. Assists in the judicial process for FSL organizations. Collaborates with Alumni Relations and Development to build and enhance alumni networks for each organization and to fundraise for Greek Council and the Dues Waivers program. Contributes to all-department initiatives and other Student Affairs initiatives in support of student success and student retention, including, but not limited to: Student Org Leadership Development Series, New President's Meeting, New Tiger Orientation, and Tiger Takeoff. Assists in the development and administration of assessment tools to evaluate and measure the impact of community initiatives. Researches and develops best practices related to fraternity and sorority life communities nationwide.
Additional Duties
Collaborates with other Student Affairs staff and participates in the life of the University by serving on committees, attending functions, and being available for special assignments. Cooperates and collaborates with other employees in the spirit of teamwork and collegiality and interacts with confidence, patience and integrity to provide professional leadership during emergencies. Assigns projects to Student Involvement Student Activity Mentors (SAMs) and Student Organization Finance Assistants. Develops and maintains communications such as website and social media content. Manages data collection, analysis and representation. Represents the University in relevant professional organizations. Complies with all Trinity University policies and guidelines. Performs other duties as required.

EXPERIENCE Required:
Two years of experience in student-facing programming, training and event planning (this can include work as a graduate assistant during the completion of a Master's degree). Demonstrated ownership of work and evidence of initiative-taking in prior roles. Experience designing and conducting assessment activities.
Preferred:
Experience working in Student Affairs to include advising, training, leadership education, counseling and student programming. Experience as a member in a social fraternity/sorority.
