Position Summary |
This position will provide support and expertise on a five-year project that will design, iteratively enhance, implement, and test within a set of Illinois schools a set of development materials that comprise a multi-element principal and teacher leader intervention. These materials are designed to promote organization and instructional improvement within schools with the aim of improving mathematics student learning. Materials will be pilot tested and refined with up to two Illinois school districts and six schools in Year 1. Following the pilot year, these enhanced materials will be delivered to additional districts and schools where they will be tested and further enhanced through a cluster randomized trial by an external evaluator. Specifically, two Illinois school districts and their respective schools will participate in Years 2 and 3, and two additional Illinois districts and their respective schools will participate in Years 4 and 5. During these two-year development experiences, administrative and teacher leaders will engage in multi-day intensive learning institutes in each of the two summers. Development will also occur roughly every six weeks over the course of the two academic school years. All of the enhanced and tested materials will be curated for subsequent scalable use. |
