Summary:

The Principal, Vendor Management role is a senior member of the Vendor Management Office (VMO) accountable for overseeing and managing relationships with assigned vendors. This role ensures vendors deliver maximum value to OCC while maintain alignment with strategic objectives, compliance standards and performance expectations. The Principal, Vendor Management will own and lead governance meetings, and act as a trusted liaison between vendors, internal stakeholders, and leadership. This role

performs vendor management for a variety of vendor types, including all facets of VM including relationship, contract and performance governance, risk performance, and financial management, in accordance with the defined VMO vendor strategy for a variety of vendor types to ensure VMO is driving results.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary relationship owner for assigned vendors ensuring performance, service delivery and contractual obligations are consistently met.
  • Establish and maintain positive strategic and operational relationships (in collaboration with VMO) with vendors, vendor relationship managers and engagement managers through consistent vendor management, regular communication and interaction to provide for monitoring and vendor deliverables and obligations.
  • Plan, lead and facilitate governance meetings (i.e., Quarterly Business Reviews, executive meetings), ensure clear outcomes, accountability, and follow through.
  • Partner with global service providers and professional services vendors to drive successful project delivery, innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders at all levels internally, including c-suite, finance, risk, compliance, procurement and vendor relationship managers to align vendor performance with enterprise goals throughout the vendor lifecycle.
  • Ensure vendors meet or exceed their defined service agreements, obligations, and other key performance indicators and relationship objectives and continue to meet evolving business needs and priorities such that OCC maximizes the value of its vendor contracts.
  • Collaborate with VMO team members to promote continual improvement of VM policies, standards and procedures, and sharing knowledge and best practices with respect to all vendor relationships.
  • Support, analyze, and assist in audit requests related to scope of VMO.
  • Escalate and resolve complex vendor related issues, leveraging influence and leadership to drive outcomes. Ensure a tracker is maintained for any issues and dependencies.
  • Develop and manage vendor scorecards and/or reporting for Director and senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with vendors to create and execute action plans addressing client satisfaction (CSAT)results. Mentor junior members of the VMO team.
  • Travel to vendor meetings and conferences, as required when within budget.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ yrs. experience in vendor management, strategic sourcing, or related field with significant exposure to strategic and professional services vendors.
  • Demonstrated experience creating value from collaborative relationship management with strategic partners.
  • Proven ability to plan and lead vendor governance meetings.
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills in vendor and internal customer relationship environments. Ability to drive results.
  • Understanding of contractual, commercial, and operational working relationships with global service providers, specific to technology, professional services, contingent labor vendors and system integrators.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in analyzing data, assessing vendor performance, and identifying cost-saving opportunities is crucial.
  • Strong ability to identify, track, resolve and report issues with vendors and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, balancing multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in MS Office, SharePoint, Vendor Governance tools such as Sirion, ERP tools such as Oracle Fusion, and Contract Lifecycle Management tools such as iCertis.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree equivalent required; Supply Chain Management or Project Management preferred. (Master's preferred)

Certificates or Licenses:

  • Certification in project management, procurement, or supplier management such as SRM, COP, PMP, CPSM, CSMP, CSCP, or CPSD..

Compensation

  • The salary range listed for any given position is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. If hired at OCC, your final base salary compensation will be determined by factors such as skills, experience and/or education.
  • In addition, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
  • We typically do not hire at the maximum of the range in order to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer a substantial benefits package as noted on www.theocc.com/careers
  • All employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus. Discretionary bonuses are based on various factors, including, but not limited to, company and individual performance and are not guaranteed.

Salary Range

$149,500.00 - $215,600.00

Incentive Range

18% to 25%

This position is eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award, for which the target range is listed above (see Incentive Range). The amount of such award, if any, will be based on various factors, including without limitation, both individual and company performance.
