Position Duties:
  • Responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies to provide business-building innovation, assurance of supply, superior cost management and uncompromising stewardship.
  • Key responsibilities include development of sourcing strategies, delivery of cost savings through commercial and technical project management and effective supplier relationship management.
  • Management of both internal x-functional and external relationships is important on a day-to-day basis with an eye for long-term growth.
  • Development and implementation of sourcing strategies with cross functional team to include the analysis of emerging technologies, supplier capability analysis, supplier relationship management, long-term supply: demand models, should cost analyses, etc.
  • Identify and deliver savings projects ongoing.
  • Develop and manage all supplier relationships within assigned responsibility on a day-to-day basis.
  • Lead global spend pool team(s) for development of global and/or regional sourcing strategies as assigned.
  • Analyze markets routinely to create accurate cost forecasts for the assigned spend pools.
  • Ensure respective spend is fully documented and traceable in the system(s).
  • Identify emerging technologies and trends and determine how to create value in the supply chain.
  • Lead regional and global projects, that will most often have x-functional participation, in any of the key sourcing areas (e.g., raw materials, packaging, tolling, other indirect, systems).
  • Utilize Total Cost of Ownership tools to deliver best total value.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements with suppliers to ensure supply, control pricing, and mitigate risk.
  • Build strong network within H.B. Fuller Sourcing and other functions around the globe.
  • Ensure compliance with law and regulations for relevant sourcing activities and compliances with applicable corporate policies and procedures, including Delegation of Authority, Decision Authority, H.B. Fuller Code of Conduct, and any sourcing policies such as Ethical Conduct, Conflict of Interest, etc.
  • Domestic and international travel up to 25% as needed and customary for the occupation.
  • Utilize the following tools and technologies: Power BI, SAP, Business Objects (BOBJ), Raw Material Outlook (RMOL), Direct Material Forecast (DMF), IHS Markit Technology/Chemical Market Analytics (CMA), ICIS Market Intelligence, and Supplier Performance Management System (SPMS).

  • Supervise 2 subordinates with the following title: Analyst I, Sourcing.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • The position requires a bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Chemical Engineering, or closely related field.
  • The qualified candidate must have at least 3 years (36 months) of experience in a logistics analyst or strategic sourcing analyst position, or closely related occupation within the chemical products industry.
  • The qualified candidate must also have at least 3 years (36 months) of experience with all of the following: (a) locating relevant raw materials to avoid production gaps; (b) implementing global sourcing strategies for raw materials including supply assurance and cost savings for R&D projects; (c) performing crisis and supply management; (d) analyzing markets to create accurate forecasts for the assigned spend pools; (e) negotiating commercial agreements with suppliers; (f) developing methodology to evaluate risk and implementing the appropriate risk mitigation strategies; (g) utilizing the following tools and technologies: Power BI, SAP, Business Objects (BOBJ), Raw Material Outlook (RMOL), Direct Material Forecast (DMF), IHS Markit Technology/Chemical Market Analytics (CMA), ICIS Market Intelligence, and Supplier Performance Management System (SPMS).
  • Domestic and international travel up to 25% as needed and customary for the occupation.
  • All experience may be gained concurrently.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is $158,766 annually.
