Summary

This position leads the parts inventory maintenance program, purchasing and financial reporting for the plant maintenance department and supervision of parts clerks, inventory coordinator and buyers. The MRO Inventory Manager suggests, develops, implements, leads, and maintains standard process strategies involving the receiving, storage, distribution and requisitioning of all purchased MRO products (both inventoried and non-inventoried) like maintenance spare parts, tools and supplies as well as operational items such as safety, janitorial and office supplies. Works closely with the team on accuracy of physical and systemic item movements, with Finance on inventory adjustments and applicable accruals, with Purchasing team on optimization of company-owned inventory levels, with Account Management team on customer inventory reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Develop budgets, tracking and provide month end reporting and work closely with finance on internal accounting questions and resolutions
  • Develop, implement, and improve documented MRO processes such as non-stock part acquisition, stock management, critical spares, repairable process, and capital spares
  • Handle spare parts, new material requests, inventory, and parts obsolescence
  • Ensures accuracy of physical and systemic item movements. Reviews transactions to decide necessary adjustments in the event of financial impact, and shares lessons learned with team
  • Manages Parts Room Staff by building standard work and training for job in the storeroom
  • Lead Purchasing Staff by setting expectations and schedules, monitoring performance, and conducting reviews, individual development plans and succession planning
  • Work with engineering and the project teams to decide critical spare parts for new equipment and projects
  • Use parts team to standardize parts across the plant and minimize storeroom value
  • Work with parts team for cost savings by building relationships with preferred vendors
  • Handle, audit, and monitor spare parts inventory, to ensure proper ordering schedule for stock parts
  • Track inventory turns to maximize space constraints and positive cash flow
  • Supplier part discrepancy resolution; corrective actions and disqualifications
  • Develop PM program for motors, pumps, and rotating equipment to ensure equipment does not become damaged and is suitable for use during installation
  • Parts issuing to track costs on work requests and individual departments
  • Collaborate with IT for the processes needed to support SAP functions for better tracking of critical metrics
  • Coordinate the purchase order process for work order items, spare parts, supplies and services, for all maintenance, utilities, facilities, and plant related items
  • Warranty returns and RMA's
  • Handle and distribute cycle counts, audit bins, rejected items and expiring items to Parts Clerks and Coordinators
  • Handle and distribute non-moving items list for decision on next steps (return, disposal, storage fees). Distribute to appropriate team after decision is made, for timely action
  • Coordinate the handling of RMA's (Return Material Authorizations)
  • Complete full Physical Inventory Count
  • Coordinate the preventive maintenance program and planning to ensure all parts are available.
  • Collaborates with Accounts Payable to resolve invoicing and shipping issues
  • Follow Chobani's safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • High proficiency with SAP
  • 5 - 7 years of experience in inventory management and procurement
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance environment preferred
  • Knowledge of parts management and inventory systems
  • Strong analytical ability and decision-making skills
  • Effective leadership skills with ability to mentor and develop others
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Extensive computer skills including office suite and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)

Compensation Range:$86,000.00-$129,000.00, plus bonus.
