Position Summary Responsible for providing supervision and operations support to a community based outpatient mental health programs. Services the needs of the patient population through educational programs, care management, therapeutic programs, seminars and advocacy. Principal Duties and Responsibilities 1. Develops programs to meet the needs of the patient population. Ensures program operates in a smooth and orderly manner according to the department, Medical Center, and all appropriate regulatory agency guidelines. 2. Develops, trains and manages assigned personnel. Makes decisions concerning employment, performance appraisals, promotions, transfers and terminations. 3. Participates in the development, implementation and monitoring of program policies and procedures. Make recommendations to management regarding changes and enhancements. 4. Supervises all daily program operations, which may include billing, managing expenditures, medical records and periodic clinical reports. Participates in preparation of drafts and other fiscal documents. 5. Supervises billing systems and monitors program expenditures. Ensures maintenance of appropriate fiscal records for accountability. 6. Delegates and provides outreach, educational seminars and advocacy regarding needs of the patient population. Provides psychosocial rehabilitation as part of a comprehensive program of services. 7. Attends Executive Committee and works with CPP leadership to ensure overall successful operation of Community Psychiatry Program. 8. Prepares various reports for outside federal/state agencies and management. Maintains statistical records of program activities. 9. Attends and participates in various meetings and committee, both internally and with outside community and state agencies. 10. Performs additional duties as assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 1. Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts typically acquired through completion of a Masters Degree in social work, psychology, nursing or closely related mental health field and two years of previous experience. 2. Licensure at the LCSW-C, LCPC, APRN or other comparable level. 3. Work requires the analytical skills necessary to resolve problems requiring a professional level of knowledge in a specific discipline/field and/or improve, enhance or upgrade complex clinical, financial, data processing, marketing or human resources systems and programs. 4. Work requires the communication skills necessary to effectively manage the employees within assigned department and to persuade and negotiate with peer-level managers on issues and programs that impact the department. Work requires effectively dealing with conflicting views or issues and mediating fair and workable solutions. 5. Must complete the Training Checklist for Managers and Supervisors (described in the Training Catalog for Management Development Curriculum) within twelve months of employment/promotion date. Salary Range: Minimum $44.98/hour - Maximum $78.73/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
