As the Manager of Payroll, your demonstrated leadership and payroll management skills will be leveraged to ensure accurate and timely compensation to employees in compliance with federal and state laws and regulations, such as the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) rules and regulations and the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).



Your Impact

Based at our corporate headquarters in Austin, TX, you will provide incredible value to the organization through:

    Managing the production and timely delivery of biweekly payrolls as well as off-cycle payrolls as needed
  • Leading management of day-to-day activities for assigned payroll team members
  • Ensuring payroll system correctly processes salaries, reported hours worked, utilized paid leave and accruals
  • Ensuring the timely completion of all payroll tax reporting requirements and the issuance of W-2s
  • Ensuring proper tax treatment, accounting, and disposition of withholdings, such as taxes, deductions for benefits, charitable contributions, and retirement contributions
  • Working closely with Human Resources, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Information Technology, Internal Revenue Service, Social Security Administration, and others receiving the proceeds from payroll deductions
  • Stay updated with the latest payroll regulations and best practices.
  • Develop, implement and maintain payroll policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Preparing relevant reports for management and other departments on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Serving as the single point of contact for payroll audit requests
  • Facilitating a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance / Accounting or related field
  • Five years of payroll management experience, including people management, with a strong background in ADP Systems
  • Proficiency with ADP Vantage and Oracle ERP System
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)
  • Payroll experience with multiple legal entities
  • Acquisition experience

  • Extensive payroll knowledge including processes, procedures and compliance
  • Knowledgeable of guidelines regard accounting principles, payroll methods, Department of Labor regulations, federal and state tax regulations
  • Experience with full scope of ADP Payroll Time & Attendance software
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing to all levels of people inside and outside the organization
  • Excellent interpersonal and consultative skills to interact effectively and maintain relationships with a variety of people and personalities inside and outside the organization
  • Able to effectively handle interactions at all levels and to respond appropriately in sensitive situations
