Job Announcement

Works as a part of the department as a dedicated and knowledgeable professional to help mature the county's records and information governance operations. This position implements and maintains technical policies and procedures that support the compliant lifecycle management, disclosure, and disposal of non-permanent digital records, communications, and electronically stored information (ESI) across the county's enterprise IT platforms, systems, and applications.

Key responsibilities include recommending, developing, and/or managing the implementation of back-end and front-end rules, procedures, standards, and feature configurations to enable effective inventory, auditing, and monitoring of county records and related governance activities.

This position may also oversee and direct program operations in the absence of the county records officer/archivist and deputy county archivist.


Employment Standards

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to the following:

Bachelor's degree in computer information systems, business administration, or related field; plus five years of experience in information systems and process redesign, managing and implementing all phases of the systems development life cycle, including at least one year of supervisory experience.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background and credit check to the satisfaction of the employer.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience identifying opportunities for and using intelligent/AI-enabled tools to support records and information management and compliance tasks and decision-making.
  • Experience managing the implementation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of electronic content management system (ECMS) to ensure it meets operational and business needs.
  • Experience overseeing the selection, implementation, and optimization of records management systems (RMS), electronic document management systems (EDMS), and other information governance technologies.
  • Experience developing user policies, processes, and configurations in SharePoint Online that support lifecycle management and meet compliance requirements of its content.
  • Experience implementing and using Microsoft Security and Compliance Center features/capabilities such as the eDiscovery module and labels to help lifecycle management, legal holds, or GDPR type personal data requests for digital records and information.
  • Professional certification in records or information governance (e.g. IGP).
  • Ability to collect, interpret, and manipulate data using dashboards in tools such as Power BI.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work is mainly sedentary, primarily performed by visually and manually using IT machines, equipment, and devices. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
