Description
Position Overview To safely and efficiently set up, run, and clean up the stackers, conveyors, and other equipment. Also, to be an additional team player on the machine. Responsibilities1) Following all safety, quality, and production procedures.
2) Teamwork effort and involvement to meet all production goals.
3) Reads MacOps program and machine schedules to view customer specifications and any special requirements.
4) Verifies (measures) incoming materials to verify correct size sheets.
5) Properly identifies correct stacking patterns, prints load tags, and ensures the correct use of bottom sheets and tie sheets per MacOps and customer specifications.
6) Identifies any non-conforming material and reports to the machine operator (warp, etc).
7) Communicates any machine problems to the operator or supervisor.
8) Maintain a clean and safe work environment through a "clean as you go attitude."
9) Ensure line clearance functions have been performed before the start-up of the next order.
10) Performs box inspections throughout the run for box quality and reports any changes to the operator.
11) Performs other duties as assigned by supervision.
12) Complete accurate records and verify sheet counts, dunnage, and unit appearance on all orders.
13) Monitors PH and viscosity of ink throughout the run of order and reports any changes to the operator.
14) Is involved with any aspects of the setup once all tasks are performed.
15) Monitors and organizes the bottom sheet area at the respected machine.
16) Perform other duties as required by the manager.
