Your Role

Are you passionate about creating efficient and agile supply chains? Do you thrive in a collaborative environment where your leadership can make a real impact? As our Sourcing Leader, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring our commodities and services for the manufacturing of engineered to order industrial compressors are sourced effectively to support our dynamic projects. You'll balance supply chain needs with business goals, working closely with various operational groups to keep everything running smoothly.

As part of the Procurement team, you will report to the Supply Chain Manager and work closely with our Engineering, Quality, Production, and Project Management teams. This is a hybrid position located in Voorheesville, NY.

As a Sourcing Team Leader you will be responsible for:

• Leadership:
  
  
  
  • Coach and support team members to build capability and achieve business goals.
  • Foster a sense of responsiveness and urgency within the team.
  • Lead with emotional intelligence, influencing and aligning with other departments for efficiency.
  
  
  
  
• Operations:
  
  
  
  • Oversee sourcing processes to ensure timely material arrival.
  • Procure materials within or under budget, leading negotiations as needed.
  • Address negative quality trends with suppliers in collaboration with the Quality team.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to meet their needs and provide regular updates on projects and initiatives.
  • Assess and mitigate risks within the supply chain, including cost, lead time changes, and business continuity.
  
  
  
  
• Risk Management:
  
  
  
  • Ensure compliance with company, site, and department procedures for sourcing activities, maintaining proper documentation for audits and reviews.
  • Identify new supplier needs based on performance trends, project requirements, and external factors.
  • Proactively assess and implement solutions to mitigate supply chain risks.

  • Seek opportunities for continuous improvement and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Perform other duties as required to meet business needs.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and OSHA requirements onsite.

• Sourcing/Purchasing Expertise: 5-7 years of experience in sourcing or purchasing, demonstrating a strong understanding of procurement processes and strategies.
• Leadership: Proven leadership experience with measurable success in guiding teams and achieving business goals.
• Education: College degree in related field or equivalent work expereince.
• Effective Communication: Strong skills in written, verbal, and presentation formats, able to convey ideas clearly and persuasively.
• Collaborative Influence: Ability to influence others without direct authority, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

• The total base salary range for this position is $85,000 to $115,000 annually.
