Job Description:
Are you passionate about helping patients navigate their healthcare journey? Join our team as a Patient Scheduling and Insurance Specialist, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our patients receive the care they need with ease and confidence. Key Responsibilities: * Insurance and Financial Assistance: Obtain insurance information and referral forms from patients over the phone. Counsel patients on alternative financial assistance options to help them manage their healthcare costs. * Patient Scheduling: Schedule and register patients via phone or email, ensuring a seamless and efficient process without direct patient contact. Assist with urgent or referred patient scheduling requests by communicating with physicians and clinical staff. * Demographics and Registration: Collect and update patient demographics and insurance information. Review and update schedules for new patients as needed. * Appointment Reminders: Call patients to remind them of their appointment times, obtain necessary insurance information, and process internal physician referrals for clinical care. * Billing and Inquiries: Explain the billing process to patients and answer incoming inquiries from patients and third-party payers. Collaborate with colleagues to solve moderately complex billing issues. * Staff Support: Assist other staff members by explaining the billing process and helping with basic account maintenance activities. Support staff with sending out reminder cards and other scheduling duties. * Scheduling Adjustments: Based on physician input, make daily edits and temporary changes to provider scheduling templates. Work with the Reliant patient reminder system to contact patients and make necessary scheduling changes. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
