Aviation Consultant

Provide technical expertise to clients and internal employees.

• Help position the firm as a leader in new and/or emerging areas of expertise.

• Represent the firm as an industry leader by:

  • Presenting at conferences

  • Producing articles, blogs, and white papers

  • Educating clients and internal stakeholders

• Research, communicate, and implement best practices firm-wide related to area of expertise.

• Translate subject matter terminology into business terms and recommend actionable solutions.

• Assist in leading projects and program implementations.

• Act as project team leader when requested, coordinating work efforts and training staff.

• Review technical guides and documents prior to distribution to ensure accuracy.

• Provide technical resolutions for complex and critical issues to internal and external stakeholders.

• Apply leading-edge principles and contribute to the advancement of company knowledge.

• Serve as a technical expert and firm representative at business development functions.

Client Development:

• Assist in managing scope, budget, resources, and quality on niche projects.

• Lend technical expertise to contract negotiations and bid creation.

• Help secure profitable new and/or emerging business opportunities in your area of expertise.

Additional Requirement:

• This position may require visits to construction sites to inspect and/or assist field personnel with projects.

• Must have a BA/BS and twelve (12) years related experience years related experience.
• Must have industry specific certification and/or registration.
• Must be mentally and physically capable of performing all essential duties required of the position.
• Must have expert communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must be able to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries from clients, regulatory agencies, and/or members of the business community.
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain strong business relationships.
• Must be able to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.
• Must have above average presentation skills.
• Must be able to develop computer applications or other analysis techniques appropriate to discipline.
• Must the ability to establish and maintain rapport with employees, community leaders and executive management.
• Must possess keen decision-making skills using analytical reasoning and judgment.

Resulting Physical Qualifications:

• Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to operate and manipulate standard office equipment.
• Must be able to occasionally reach, bend, climb and/or balance.
• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
• Must be able to travel as required.
