About the role:

As a Manufacturing Engineer 2nd or 3rd shift you will provide off-shift engineering support for quality and equipment troubleshooting for the critical plant processes

You will report to the Lead Engineer and be located at Blairsville, PA. You will support this role 100% onsite.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide off-shift maintenance coordination for equipment breakdowns



  • Provide task/project level updates to all appropriate all partners.



  • Develop and deliver presentations to communicate statuses, problem resolutions, and recommendations.



  • Apply engineering design and/or analysis for nuclear products/projects including mechanical component design and the ability to produce and understand mechanical drawings



  • Evaluate equipment, systems needed to accomplish goals.



  • Develop new and improve old processes.



  • Monitor and correct quality problems associated with manufacturing processes.



  • Analyze designs and implement improvements to facilitate manufacturing at lowest cost consistent with results.



  • Develop alternate solutions ensuring less expensive operations.



  • Suggest sources of manufacture and develop new sources with Purchasing.



  • Apply modern engineering science (such as lean manufacturing concepts, six-sigma methodology, and statistical process analysis) theories to improve the efficiency of manufacturing processes.



  • Analyze and recommend use of technological innovations in machinery and manufacturing techniques to solve complex manufacturing problems




Qualifications:


  • B.S. in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or other related technical discipline.



  • 3+ years of applicable manufacturing experience required
