KJ is seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Marketing Specialist with A/E/C industry expertise in coordinating and supporting business development activities. This role will involve working with engineers and scientists across the country to support the proposal coordinator, interview and presentation support, and marketing administration. Depending on the group's needs, this role also helps manage marketing systems, maintain digital assets, and support firmwide visibility efforts. This role includes proposal document layout, conceptualizing complex graphics or 3D design, or collaborating with technical staff to develop compelling sales documents.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Collaborates with graphic leads and creative teams to ensure alignment with deadlines.
  • Leads proposal and interview coordination for large pursuits, ensuring compliance with procurement requests and effectively expressing the firm's value propositions.
  • Independently authors content for critical submittals, taking full accountability for the deliverables' overall quality and impact. Develops strategies, brainstorms, and prepares for interviews, focusing on complex pursuits.
  • Supports the formulation and execution of client engagement, capture plans, and strategic pursuits.
  • Fully responsible and accountable for leading multiple strategic initiatives, presentation interviews, and other marketing inquiries and contributing to strategy meetings.
  • Partner with marketing managers to meet directly with clients to debrief on both successful and unsuccessful procurements.
  • Leads award, conference support, and visibility activities under the supervision of a Marketing Manager.
  • Leads efforts to streamline marketing workflows, reducing turnaround times and increasing efficiency without compromising quality.
  • Reviews and provides constructive feedback on projects, encouraging a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Maintain sales pipeline, databases, and marketing-related digital systems or files.
  • Organizes regular training sessions or workshops to help team members stay updated with the latest design trends and technologies.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand company objectives and how the marketing design team can align with these goals through strategic initiatives.
  • Travels to other offices as required to provide support.
  • Other duties as needed


Qualifications:



  • 5+ years of A/E/C marketing experience, including leading proposals or mentoring others
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field
  • Strong skills in writing, editing, research, and market analysis
  • Proficient in InDesign, Acrobat, MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); Photoshop a plus
  • Clear, professional communicator with all levels of staff and clients
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and work independently or on a team

Salary range for this position is anticipated to be $78,000 to $92,000 and may vary based upon education, experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications and geographic location.
